(yesterday’s shot) I’ve walked by this wall for years, always looking at the small plants and how they work through anchoring themselves and growing from granite. For this shot I liked the lines of the concrete applying a strong texture on contrast to the softer plant center.

Great walk, added another half mile and shaved the time. Came across this great tree and loved the variety of color and shade, and then of course Jake added the perfect touch.

The morning was pretty rough weather-wise, but the afternoon turned out very nice, exposing some of the great sunsets and sky activity we get on clear evenings.

Sometimes I forget what I great place I live in, and when the rain stops, how beautiful everything is….and close. This was a 10 min. drive and then a walk along the canal. Came across this and loved how the shot came out. Great 5 mile walk and a tired Jake, the day is complete.
