I’ve been chasing this flowering for over a year. To my surprise, while shooting some great photos at the 2018 Sequim Lavender Festival, came across this in perfect afternoon light…

If you can’t guess (and I would never have if I had not seen it in person)…It’s an Artichoke in full bloom 🙂
